Slow PC
Many people experience that their Windows PC becomes slower over time. There can be many reasons for this. For example, the disk may be filling up, or too many programs may be running in the background — other times it may simply be that some of the computer’s components need to be replaced.
Give an old PC new life with Linux
If it is a very old PC, it can usually be brought back to life by installing Linux on it. If you have heard of Linux before, it may sound intimidating, as Linux has a reputation for being “only for nerds”.
This is also partly true, but with the right setup, it can be made user-friendly so that ordinary people who are not computer experts can easily use it. Nowadays there are also Linux versions of all the popular programs — and if there is a program that is not available, it is something we figure out together beforehand.
Another option is to install Linux alongside Windows without affecting the existing Windows installation. That way you can always go back if you change your mind.
“I have an old computer where Anders installed Linux. He set it up so I can use it for everything I need, such as online banking etc. I have been using it this way for a few years, and it works perfectly.”
